BS in Biology – University of Alabama
I moved around a fair amount growing up but was mostly raised in St. Louis, MO. A constant love of science, and growing up around Great Depression-era grandparents, led me to pursue Biology with the hopes of eventually working on Alzheimer’s Disease. While at UA I did undergraduate research on the connection between HSV-1 and Alzheimer’s where I fell in love with virology and more applied, translational research. I am currently completing a Masters in Public Health focused on epidemiology of microbial diseases with a concentration in public health modeling at YSPH. Additionally, I work with the Weinberger group modeling asthma outcomes based on previous RSV infection. While not working or studying you can find me reading, exploring outside of New Haven, or watching Alabama Football (Roll Tide).
