BS in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology– Yale University (ongoing)
I have two passions: infectious disease and the Midwest. I graduated from high school in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, kickstarting my interest in emerging infections. Prior to working at Grubaugh Lab, I spent my first year at Yale with Drosophila olfactory sensitivity and subsequent copulation rates. As an undergrad at the Grubaugh Lab, I am excited to explore virus evolution and surveillance, dengue virus and Wolbachia relations, and the epidemiological factors at play. When not in the lab, pouring away over textbooks, or in class, I love to swim, wake surf, and paddle board. I also enjoy journaling, hiking, and ski racing on the Yale Club Ski Team.
